Simone Biasco wins FP-RESOMUS grant

Simone Biasco was recently awarded a research grant from the FP-RESOMUS Fellowship Program, a joint initiative of the Swiss university network NCCR MUST and the German Cluster of Excellence RESOLV funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program.

Simone’s fellowship project “ULTRA-SWING” aims at the study and ultrafast manipulation of the intriguing electronic properties of novel quantum materials, in the framework of the UDG’s research on the nonlinear dynamics of the atomic structure in solid-state materials. Simone will combine 2D Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy and numerical simulation to study atomic and electronic dynamics in a variety of systems.
