Prof. Steven Johnson gives Spiers Memorial Lecture

In a recent Faraday Discussion meeting "From optical to THz control of materials" held on May 23-​25 in London, UK, UDG group head Prof. Steven Johnson gave the Spiers Memorial Lecture, which serves as the introduction to the meeting.

The external pageSpiers Memorial Award has been presented by the Faraday Society since 1923, and until 2020 was awarded to two individuals per year. In 2020 the award evolved into the Spiers Memorial Lecture, which is given by the introductory lecturer at each external pageFaraday Discussion meeting. The lecturer is also given a medal to commemorate the event.
